Histroy Benecke

  • 1985: General practitioner and business economist Ludwig Benecke starts a consultancy company in the medical sector: Ludwig Benecke Consultant. In addition, he also continues to work as a general practitioner.

  • 1988: The company name changes to Benecke Consultants. The first multi-day refresher courses for general practitioners have been launched: gastroenterology, sports medicine, cardiology, psychiatry and pulmonology.

    • Publication first book: Gastrointestinal tract: current case histories for the general practitioner. Authors: Ludwig Benecke and MDL physician Erik

    1991: The Benecke Consultants team consists of 5 employees. The first editor is employed.

  • 1994: The Internet emerges. The idea arose to use the worldwide web for in-service training.

    • First e-learning program in the Netherlands: virology for the general practitioner. First TeleReview®: multi-meeting video conference from Los Angeles (Annual Meeting of the American Heart Association).

  • 2004: The first continuum training platform is launched: Continuous Psychiatry. In the following years, comparable national training platforms for dermatology, endocrinology, oncology / hematology and rheumatology followed. Healthcare House sees the light: a partnership between Benecke, advertising agency Prins & Van Waard and PR agency Hinfelaar.

  • 2005: Clynn Kraag, MD becomes managing director and together with Ludwig Benecke forms the management team.

  • 2007: After 17 years of moving from Burgemeester Stramanweg in Amsterdam to a more spacious, transparent and public transport-friendly office on Arena Boulevard in Amsterdam.

  • 2009: Publication of first issue of GZ psychology; the independent scientific journal for mental health psychologists.

  • 2011: Ludwig Benecke moves away from the company. Fahd Ramdhani will act as business development director and will form the new management team together with managing director Clynn Kraag. Benecke now also shares her expertise on a structural basis with stakeholders in international healthcare. The first steps have been taken in the Middle East.

  • 2012: New start: move to new office at the MediArena in Amsterdam. The Benecke team consists of 25 employees.

    First TeleReview®: multi-meeting video conference training in Saudi Arabia.

  • 2013: Services expanded into the Middle East region.

  • 2015: Relocation to the office at Falckstraat in the heart of Amsterdam.

  • 2016: First CME projects executed in Egypt, Tunisia & Algeria

  • 2018: First CME projects executed in Lebanon and Jordan.

  • 2020: Due to COVID-19 pandemic introduced customized hybrid online meetings to serve the healthcare industry in the best possible way.
